KILIMANI
ABOUT Kilimani

The first New Life Home moved from the Loresho suburb in February 1999 to its present location in Kilimani – Nairobi to become the main home and central office for BARNABAS MINISTRIES Africa and the NEW LIFE HOME TRUST. The home is registered with the Kenya Government to care primarily for abandoned and orphaned babies, particularly those infected and affected by HIV/AIDS, although other areas of children’s needs are being identified and addressed. The Home is also registered by the Ministry of Health as a private medical clinic under the medical supervision of the Medical Director, Dr, Paul Wangai Jr., MB, ChB, MPH, PhD, MRSH, FICA, FACPM and the Matron, Mary Beckenham, SRN, SCM, ONC. The Home admits babies between birth and three months, with a priority given to those who are HIV positive. At the appropriate time, the infants are discharged to families for foster care and adoption.
