Our Groundsmen:

Just in case you think running a baby home is all women's work, we must not let you go any further without meeting the men who also help make our children's lives so much better. They are responsible for the meticulous maintenance of our properties, vehicles, and gardens. But don't be too surprised to find them taking time to give a boy a haircut, or feed a hungry baby, or chase after one of the toddlers in a quick game of 'tag'.

1. How did you come to work at New Life?
In 2012, I was walking door to door looking for a job when I came across the New Life gate. I asked if there was a vacancy and there was! I’ve been working here ever since.

2. What’s your favourite part of working with New Life?
I love taking care of our flower garden. I also enjoy the times when the office needs me to run errands, especially when that means going on the motorbike!

3. What are some highlights from your time at New Life?
Working at New Life is like being part of one big happy family. For instance, the men at the Kilimani home fellowship together twice a week over lunch. We study the Bible together, pray together, and encourage one another to make real and lasting changes in our lives. That is definitely one of the highlights for me.

4. Looking forward, what is your biggest wish for New Life?
I want New Life to continue to grow and to continue helping abandoned babies and children.

1. How did you come to work at New Life?
I have worked at New Life Home for a while now. As a groundskeeper, I maintain the optimum environment for the children.

2. What’s your favourite part of working with New Life?
The children and just the experience with them is what keeps me going.

3. What are some highlights from your time at New Life?
My highlight is the children. Even when I am old I will always remember that my time at New Life meant one very important thing, THE CHILDREN.

4. Looking forward, what is your biggest wish for New Life?
I think, I would like to see the children increasing over the years along with the capacity to accommodate them so that we can keep working with and for the children.
