NEW LIFE HOME TRUST NAKURU
The New Life Home at Nakuru is set in the heart of Kenya’s Great Rift Valley in the grazing land of the Maasai people. The Home is located 2.5 km from Nakuru town in Milimani area along Kipsigis Rise Road, near Graceland Hotel. This town, on the shores of Lake Nakuru, sits alongside a national park made famous by its spectacular birds, especially the flamingos. Also nearby are the Kariandusi archaeological sites, in which some of man’s earliest stone tools have been discovered.
The Home has been in operation since November 2005 and provides residential care for orphaned or abandoned babies. The Home encourages and facilitates fostering and adoption of the children both locally and internationally. This particular home is situated on a large plot to allow future development for toddlers from other homes. Malnourished children and children needing special medical care are transferred to the main home in Kilimani, Nairobi or Kisumu.
